Well done too Robin

Well done Robin for completing his first half Ironman in 5 hrs 40 mins.

Northern Triathletes in Worlds.

Well done to all the North of Scotland Triathlete's in the world championships in Budapest they all done really well.

Firstly our own David Sutherland finished in 22nd place with a time of 1.11.16

Gemma finished a fantastic third in age group with a great time of 1.11.01

Lynsey from Shetland Tri club was 6th in her class with another great time 1.12.04

Pete finished 16th with a time of 1.06.37

Elaine Rutherford was 17th in 1.16.01

I'm sure you'll all agree a really good showing from them all.

World Champs in Budapest

David Sutherland is competing in the Sprint World Championships in Budapest tomorrow I'm sure we all wish him the best of luck.

Also competing Gemma Scott and Pete Fenwick best of luck to them both, it's great to have Caithness represented by three athletes at the Worlds.

Vurtuvian

Well done to Brian and his brother completed Virtuvian half in under 5 and a half hours one of the toughest half's this country has to offer.

Ironman UK updates

Helen and Terry have completed there swims Terry in 1.08 and Helen in 1.16

Terry has started his run after a 6.29.43 bike leg

Helen has started her run 7.41.32 bike leg well done to both.

Helen done first 3 miles 9 min mile pace great work.

Terry started at 7 min miles but dropped to 9 min miles at next check praying foot injury isn't playing up.

Terry now past the 19 mile mark but slowed to almost 11 min miles still going though.

Have just spoken to Pete Fenwick who finished in 10.16.17 he seen our Terry and says he looked like he was going well.

Terry finished in 12.09.42 and 46th in his age group well done big guy.

Well Done Cubby 14.29.11 a brilliant effort all them turbo and treadmill hours paid off.

IRONCHICK

Helen is doing Ironman UK on 1st of August I'm sure we all wish her the best of luck.

She is doing it for Parkinson's as her father has it, if you'd like to sponsor her the website is

Round Britain Coastal Run

Lorn recommended us on runners world forum, it starts in Blackpool on 9th of May not sure yet when it will arrive here I know some of us have a busy May but if you fancy it I'm sure all help will be appreciated.
